Japan International Cooperation Agency provides NVTI with computers

A donation of 20 desktop computers and accessories to equip the refurbished computer laboratory of the National Vocational Training Institute in Accra was given by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). Mama Owusu, Education Advisor of JICA Ghana Office informed that the donation was to encourage the capacity building of the technical, vocational education training implementing institutions in support of the education reform.

Mama Owusu mentioned that the new computer center would boost basic ICT skills, such as word processing, data management, internet within trainers to make them better equipped to meet the needs of today's industry. The Member of Parliament for Ayawaso Central, Sheikh I.C.Quaye, also donated four computers with its accessories worth GH 46,000 Ghana cedis to NVTI.
