AiTi moves towards ICT Literate workforce

The Authority for Info-communication Technology Industry < ?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Brunei (AiTi) is launching a long-term InfoComm Competency Training Programme, which will support the e-Government initiatives and boost SME's ICT skills.< ?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

 

According to the Deputy Minister of Communications, Dato Paduka Hj Mohd Yussof, AiTi InfoComm Competency Training Programme will empower capacity and competitiveness in meeting the globalisation challenges. The competency programme will provide employment opportunities to local talents. AiTi will add the primary objectives of the programme to develop and upgrade ICT skills of government and staff and encourage for implementing and executing the e-Government scheme.  The AiTi's InfoComm Competency Training Programme will also focus on developing technical as well as interpersonal ICT skills relevant in various sectors to produce ICT skilled programme. AiTi is planning to conduct a pilot training programme, which will focus on SME employees at all level.
