Governors and college principals of UK have taken part in an innovative leadership-laerning event, organised by the Centre for Excellence in Leadership (CEL).

The main aim of the event is to discuss about e-Learning, information and learning technologies (ILT). The event is mainly focused to maximise the benefits of e-Learning and technology. CEL has an important role to play in raising the profile of e-Learning within FE and helping leaders to champion the effective use of technology. IT can also transform the productivity of educational institutions by supporting smarter management, information and communications systems, helping to maximise the return on investment in ICT in learning, teaching and performance. CEL is serving the existing and future leaders of all providers within the further education system, including FE colleges, training and work-based learning providers, adult and community providers, offender learning, specialist colleges and voluntary organisations.
