Phuket schools receives satellite learning facility

Phuket vice governor, Smith Palawatwichai has given IT equipment to 9 needy schools in Phuket, Thialand to provide long distance learning facility. < ?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

 

Rotary Jungceylon, Seoul Saenamsan Rotary Club from South Korea and other 20 local private orgnisations have donated the IT equipment to support students in remote schools. The equipment will also help ease teacher shortage issues. The learning through satellite programs from Wang Krai Kangwon Hua Hin, under HM the King's support, has around 2,700 schools nationwide while students in neighboring countries of Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Vietnam also benefit from this long distance learning program. They will include schools like Ban Koh Maphrao, Kata, Koh Lone, Laem Panwa, Laem Sai, Saku, Kok Wat Mai and Koh Naka schools.
