BETT awards 2009 announced

Becta and the British Educational Suppliers Association (BESA) have announced the finalists for the 11th annual BETT Awards.

Each year, ICT educational suppliers of all types and sizes enter the BETT Awards for the chance to be on the shortlist or a winner of what has come to be considered the most prestigious ICT awards in the UK education sector. Organised and managed by Emap, Becta and BESA, the BETT Awards recognises and celebrates excellence in ICT in education.

Each year, these annual Awards goes a small way to providing e-education industry with the recognition it so richly deserves in developing innovative and practical ICT resources for the advancement of learning. This year's BETT Awards is committed to five key principles, that represent the needs of the education system, reward vibrant products that support innovation and personalising learning
stimulate the design, production and delivery of products that are increasingly fit for purpose within the marketplace, provide options for people who want to buy innovative educational resources reward inclusive and accessible designs.New categories include E-Safety, ICT Company of the Year, ICT Exporter of the Year, ICT Education Partnership and Outstanding Achievement in Education all designed to recognise excellence in products, organisations and individuals.
