Gujarat needs let go of the perception that it's only an ideal place to do business and introduce a higher education Bill, just like the one proposed at the Centre, to improve higher education, head of the Knowledge Commission and advisor to the prime minister, Sam Pitroda said while addressing a gathering in the city on Monday. Pitroda, an alumni of M S University (MSU), also called for a public debate in the state on improving higher education and deliberate on ways to create knowledge society. 'Just like we will have a higher education Bill at Centre, a similar Bill is required in the state. This requires both political will as well as consensus of masses,' said Pitroda while delivering a talk on 'New Knowledge Frontiers of Tomorrow' hosted by Association of British Scholar. MSU should be converted into a central university and it deserves national attention, Pitroda asserted.
