Secondary School dropouts to end from 2020

 

Human Resource Development (HRD) Minister Kapil Sibal has said that the government aims to end dropouts from secondary school education from 2020. 50% students drop out of the secondary level school education in India. The target is to ensure 100% retention in secondary level by 2020.

According to the minister the government would be seeking the help of states, civil society and private organisations to improve the state of affairs.
