Felicitation ceremony at Anglo Arabic School in Delhi attended by APJ Abdul Kalam

Intel and Anglo Arabic School jointly hosted the felicitation ceremony and the Independence Day celebration at the school premises in Delhi on August 11, 2010. Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, former president of India (2002-2007), Najeeb Jung, vice chancellor, Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) and Mohammed Adeeb, member of Rajya Sabha were the chief guests at the ceremony.

Being one of the oldest schools located in Delhi, Anglo Arabic School was established by the Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb in 1702 as Ghaziuddin Madrasa, later it became Anglo Arabic School. Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) declared it a heritage monument in 2002. Students received awards for excelling in studies, while teachers were also recognised for making sure that each student gets through in the board examination.
