Indian Institute of Management Indore is all set to start Fellow Program in Management (Industry), a unique doctoral programme in management for working professionals. The objective of the programme is to train professionals from the management industry and bring their real life experiences to academia forefront. The aim is to prepare professionals for contributing to the field of teaching, training, research, and consulting. By providing scholarly inputs to those who already have domain knowledge of their discipline, the programme will offer prospects of a full time/part time career within academics or in research positions outside the academia world.
There are two components of this programme. The first component of the programme consists of on-campus course work involving a series of courses followed by a comprehensive examination. The second component of the programme consists of thesis work. The institute presently offers FPM (Industry) in the following areas: Operations Management, Information Systems Strategic Management, Organisational Behaviour, Human Resource Management, Financial Economics Accounting and Finance Marketing. The eligibility to apply in the doctoral program is a Master's degree in any discipline, with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade point average Professional qualifications like CA, ICWA, CS with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade point average 4 years/8 semester bachelor's degree (B.E./B.Tech.) with at least 60% marks or equivalent grade point average Work experience not less than 10 years. The estimated overall fee for the course is `5,50,000. A concession of 30% shall be available to full time central/state government employees.
