New Delhi: The teams which are qualified across India will participate in the Final Round of prestigious Limca Book of Records Quiz in the city on 11 December.
Schools that are qualified for the National Finals of the Quiz, include DAV Public School, Pokhoriput, St. Thomas School, Ranchi, Army Public School Kirkee-Pune, Mushtifund Aryaan Higher Secondary School, Goa, Chaitanya Junior College, Narayanguda, Hyderabad, Gregorian Public School, Kochi, Bal Bharti Public School, Noida, Yadavindra Public School,Chandigarh, Bhavan’s BP Vidya Mandir, Nagpur, MGN Public School, Jalandhar.
The quiz aims to ignite young minds across the country and make the pursuit of knowledge an engaging yet competitive process. This year, the quiz has been organized in 4000 schools, across 80 cities in India, with a goal to discover quizzing talents amongst the youth of India.
The multi-city initiative has been launched in partnership with Derek O’ Brien and Associates and involves participation of young minds from classes 8to 12. The Limca Book of Records Quiz was conducted in four zones- North, South, East and West, from June to December 2012.
The quiz was organized in three stages – Inter-school level, Semi-Finals and National Finals.
Students participated in the Inter-school level, to win the city finals of the quiz. All 80 city finalists competed in the Semi-Finals and only the top ten teams have entered the National Finals.
