WishTel, a Mumbai based technology and Electronic Manufacturing Company announced the launch of the world’s cheapest Linux based PC ‘PrithV’. Priced at USD 50 it is entirely designed and manufactured in India.
PrithV will offer Linux based educational Platform on tablets and net book PC. It will support 85 global languages including English, Spanish, French, German, Arabic, Urdu, Zulu and 23 Indian languages. PrithV has been developed in Association with Gnowledge lab, Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education under guidance of Prof Nagarjuna. PrithV comes loaded with Educational Suite to offer Self Learning software’s for Pre-Primary, Tertiary, Higher Education for Languages, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Astronomy, Geography, Algebra, Calculus, Geometry, Medicine, Computing etc.
Announcing the launch of the Mr. Milind Shah, Chief Executive Officer, Wishtel added, “Our objective as a technology and manufacturing company is to create affordable range of products that can contribute to Society by extending Education for free and without boundaries. Since the introduction of the Wishtel ‘IRA’ tablet PCs early this year, Wishtel has shipped over 250,000 devices and expects to reach monthly volumes of 100 thousand per month. To meet this growing demand, Wishtel is expanding the capacity of its manufacturing facilities in Maharashtra , while at the same time increasing investment in R&D to further enhance its hardware design and software engineering capabilities to meet the diverse needs of both domestic and overseas customers.
