Mumbai University to start UPSC coaching for reserved category students

Mumbai University is all set to start UPSC coaching classes for scheduled category students. The proposal for the same has been sent to Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Research and Training Institute (BARTI), Pune under the leadership of Vice Chancellor, Rajan Welukar.
As per the memorandum of understanding (MOU) signed between BARTI and the Mumbai University on March 28, 2013, BARTI will provide financial support to the university for conducting coaching classes of UPSC exam.
The MOU also states that three batches are allotted to the university, out of which two batches will be run at Kalina campus, and one at Ratnagiri sub-centre.
Admission will be done on the basis of CET exam which will be conducted by BARTI and the centres will be allotted in respective universities. Students are also eligible for Rs 4,000 per month and a book kit provided by BARTI. The course will run for 12 months.
