New software to redress complains on Education

The office of the Gujarat Education Minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama was loaded with complains which were received by hand, post and e-mail, seeking for his intervention in several cases. These complain were on corruption, transfer, pay, pension and leave to government schools being deprived of basic facilities. To keep a track on these complains and provide instant action to it, the department has introduced a software created by the Bhaskaracharya Institute for Space Applications and Geo-Informatics, under Chudasama’s direction.

All the department related complains are being uploaded on this system giving details about the complaints and the current status of it. An official released that everyday 100 complains are received by the minister’s office in hard copies and some through e-mails.

The complaint redressel system known as Monitoring System for References of Education Minister Offices, has been put on trial basis from this month after the general poll got over. Within five days the complaints will be redressed.

The complaints received are generally from employees of schools and colleges, parents and even general public. Most of them are related to transfer and corruption cases. The identity of the complainants can be kept confidential on request.
