The central government has decided to put stricter norms for private universities as the grievances against them are increasing with each passing day.
With the increase in the number of private universities by as much as 14 times in the past, reports of malpractice, fake degrees, financial irregularities have also reached an all-time high.
The government and University Grants Commission (UGC), have been forced to take a bird’s eye view on account of increase in irregularities in financial transactions, fake degrees, malpractices in other operations and an increase in the number of complaints by as much as three times in the last couple of years.
