Jamia to offer PG courses for Army personnel

The Jamia Millia Islamia University (JMIU) on Thursday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Army under which the university will offer graduate and post-graduate programmes to Indian Army personnel through distance learning.

Vice-Chancellor Talat Ahmad and Adjutant General, Integrated Headquarters of Ministry of Defence, Lt. Gen. Ashwani Kumar, signed the MoU to facilitate the courses.

“The University has agreed to recognise the in-service courses run by the Army. This would facilitate admission of defence personnel in second or third year Graduation/Post Graduation/Doctorate programme through the medium of distance learning,’ said Ministry of Defence in an official statement.

This help the soldiers to enhance their academic qualification for a better future.
