‘Raipur becoming education hub of north India’

To improve the quality of education and promoting plans and achievements by the Chhattisgarh Government in the field of education, a day-long Education Conclave was organised by Elets Technomedia Private Limited in Raipur with Microsoft as a presenting partner.

Shrichand Sundrani, MLA- Raipur North, Government of Chhattisgarh and the Raipur Mayor Pramod Dubey inaugurated the conclave.

Mayor Pramod Dubey said that educating children is the biggest philanthropic work every citizen can contribute to a society. The mayor also asked the representatives of various private companies present in the conclave to provide technology to the schools of Raipur Municipal Corporation under Public-Private-Partnership (PPP) mode for improving the quality of education and educate the students. The mayor also expressed his concern over the lack of good quality teachers in government schools of the State especially in rural areas. He said, “It is making students of these areas deprived of education and the Government needs to take concrete steps in this direction”

As a special guest in the programme, Sundrani said, “Children of poor and middle class families should also be admitted in private schools, so that all sections of the society are at same level in terms of education. On this occasion, Sunderani also described about the achievements of the Chhattisgarh Government.

He said, “Raipur is gradually becoming the leading education hub of North India. Along with IIT, AIIMS, IIIT, NIT, national Law University and Journalism University, various medical colleges and higher education institutes are now being established in the city.”

“The State Government is trying to nurture the students of Chhattisgarh as job creators but not as Job seekers,” he added.

The conclave has witnessed the confluence of board of directors of schools and universities from across the country.

On the occasion, “Teach For Raipur” campaign and Raipur Smart City Limited were also felicitated for their efforts to develop Raipur as an education hub.

During the conclave, top universities, B-schools, Engineering Colleges and Schools were also felicitated by digitalLEARNING magazine for their exemplary work in the field of education.
