US$600 mn World Bank loan cleared
for SSAIndia signed a Financing Agreement
for the second elementary education project -
Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan II - with the World Bank for
a total assistance of US $ 600 million. The
project aims to significantly increase the number
of 6-14 year old children, especially from special
focus groups, enrolled, regularly attending and
completing elementary education and demonstrating
basic learning levels. |

eASiA 2008 is an
open ICT for development cooperation platform for Asian
countries for discussing opportunities and challenges for
promoting growth of ICT for development in Asia through
consultative dialoguing, strategic planning, knowledge
networking and business partnering. The conference and
exhibition organosed by Centre for Science, Develpment and
Media Studies (CSDMS) is co-host by Ministry of Water, Energy,
and Communications (KTAK), Govt of Malaysia. The
organisers invite papers on the above mentioned conference key
themes. Abstracts should be submitted, in no longer than 400
words, at papers@e-asia.org. Last date for

Tool) is a user-friendly online assessment tool that allows
students to anonymously submit feedback about their course
and/or instructor. The data goes directly and only to
individual teachers. It allows instructors to open an active,
ongoing dialogue with their students about the course,
content, instruction and the learning process. It also allows
a teacher to easily and quickly develop an online assessment
questionnaire.
