
Edtech giant BYJU’S has secured $800 million in a funding round led by founder and CEO Byju Raveendran, who personally invested $400 million. The round also saw participation from investors including Sumeru Ventures, Vitruvian Partners, and BlackRock. The funding valued the company at approximately $22 billion, making it one of the world’s most valuable edtech firms at the time.
The fresh capital was aimed at supporting BYJU’S global expansion, strengthening its learning platform, and accelerating growth across international markets. Following the investment, Raveendran’s stake in the company increased, reflecting his confidence in the company’s long-term vision.
