The Assam State School Education Board) has introduced a special support measure for students whose academic documents were damaged or lost during the recent floods. Under the initiative, eligible students can obtain duplicate educational certificates and mark sheets without paying any processing fee, helping them continue their education without additional financial burden.
The board has also simplified the application process by removing the requirement to submit a police report for documents lost due to the natural disaster. Instead, students can apply through the designated online portals by providing the necessary details and supporting documents.
The relief applies to students of both the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) and Higher Secondary (HS) examinations. By easing the documentation process, ASSEB aims to ensure that affected students can complete admissions, scholarship applications and other academic formalities without unnecessary delays.

The decision is part of the board’s broader effort to assist families impacted by the floods and minimise disruptions to students’ educational journeys. Students who qualify for the relief have been encouraged to submit their applications through the official ASSEB portal within the prescribed timeframe.
With this initiative, ASSEB seeks to provide timely assistance to flood-affected students while ensuring they have uninterrupted access to essential academic records needed for higher education and future opportunities.
