Elevate Education raises ₹170 Crore from WestBridge Capital to strengthen AI and expand Partnerships

Elevate Education, formerly known as Sunstone, has raised ₹170 crore in a Series D funding round led by WestBridge Capital. The higher education platform plans to use the fresh capital to strengthen its technology stack, enhance AI capabilities, and expand its network of partner institutions across India.

Founded by Ashish Munjal, Ankur Jain, and Piyush Bhartiya, Elevate Education collaborates with colleges and universities to deliver industry-relevant undergraduate and postgraduate programmes supported by technology, placements, and student success initiatives.

The company currently supports over 25,000 students across 22 campuses in 15 cities and expects to achieve ₹300 crore in revenue in FY27 while targeting profitability during the year.

The funding highlights continued investor confidence in AI-driven higher education platforms that focus on improving employability and learning outcomes.
