The Indian Army and the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras) have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen India’s defence innovation ecosystem and accelerate the development of advanced technologies for national security.
The agreement was formalised by Major General Gudi and Prof. Kamakoti Veezhinathan, Director of IIT Madras, marking a significant collaboration between the armed forces and one of India’s leading research institutions. The partnership aims to enhance research capabilities, build technical expertise, and promote indigenous solutions for defence applications.
Under this collaboration, the Indian Army and IIT Madras will work together to encourage cutting-edge research, technology development, and knowledge exchange in areas critical to defence preparedness. The initiative is expected to support the creation of innovative solutions while strengthening India’s focus on self-reliance in defence technology.
