The National Testing Agency (NTA) has commenced the evaluation process for the NEET UG 2026 re-examination, bringing relief to thousands of candidates awaiting their revised results. Alongside the evaluation, the agency is reviewing over 10,000 objections submitted against the provisional answer key before preparing the final merit list.
The re-examination was conducted for candidates affected by disruptions during the original test, ensuring a fair and transparent assessment process. Following the release of the provisional answer key, students were given an opportunity to challenge responses by submitting objections supported with relevant evidence.
According to officials, subject experts are carefully examining each objection to determine whether revisions to the answer key are required. The final answer key will be published after the review process is completed, and the NEET UG 2026 re-exam results will be declared based on the revised responses.
The evaluation process is being carried out with an emphasis on accuracy and transparency to ensure that every valid objection is considered before the results are announced. Once released, candidates will be able to access their scorecards through the official NTA portal using their application credentials.

The declaration of the re-exam results will pave the way for the next stages of the medical admission process, including counselling and seat allocation for undergraduate medical and dental programmes across the country.
