Pralhad Joshi gets new responsibility as Education Minister

Union Minister Pralhad Joshi has been assigned additional responsibility for the Ministry of Education after Dharmendra Pradhan resigned from the post amid prolonged protests over examination paper leaks.

The President’s office confirmed Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation and Pralhad Joshi appointment in an official communique on July 25. Joshi, who currently serves as the Union Minister for Food and Consumer Affairs, said he accepted the new responsibility with humility and a strong sense of duty.

He praised the government’s education reforms, including the implementation of the National Education Policy, and said he would work to strengthen the education system under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s guidance.
