The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay awarded 3,763 degrees to 3,442 students during its 64th Convocation for the 2025-26 academic year. The ceremony marked a significant milestone for the institute, with a record 620 PhD degrees awarded this year.
The degrees were presented across undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes, reflecting IIT Bombay’s continued focus on advanced education, research and innovation.
The record number of PhD graduates highlights the institute’s growing research ecosystem and its contribution to developing specialised talent in science, technology and engineering.
