UNIVO Education has launched its AI Readiness Initiative, a structured programme aimed at building AI literacy and practical skills among learners across India. The initiative supports Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of making AI accessible and useful for people across different sections of society.
The programme begins with free, self-paced foundational AI courses covering AI basics, prompting, responsible AI use and everyday productivity. No coding or technical background is required, allowing beginners to build essential AI skills.
Learners can progress from the foundation courses to role-based professional certifications and advanced specialisations designed around the practical tasks performed in different careers. The initiative targets students, early-career professionals, experienced employees and individuals seeking to understand and adapt to the growing impact of AI.
According to UNIVO Education CEO Nitin Golani, AI usage is likely to become a basic skill in the coming years, making accessible AI education important for reducing the digital skills gap.
The initiative complements national AI-skilling efforts under the IndiaAI Mission, including the IndiaAI FutureSkills programme and Data and AI Labs being established across smaller cities.

UNIVO’s applied certifications are backed through its partnership with Amity University Online, connecting practical AI skills with structured academic learning. The organisation is also developing AI-readiness programmes for enterprises and educational institutions.
Through the initiative, UNIVO aims to make AI education accessible across generations, careers and regions, helping build a workforce prepared for an increasingly AI-driven economy.
