Shikshagraha, an education-focused movement backed by Infosys co-founder S.D. Shibulal and Kumari Shibulal, has joined hands with Teach For India to strengthen efforts towards improving India’s public-school education system.
The partnership will combine Teach For India’s expertise in developing teachers and education leaders with Shikshagraha’s network of government bodies, schools, communities and civil society organisations. The collaboration aims to support scalable approaches that can improve school systems and learning outcomes across different regions.
Shikshagraha is working towards its larger goal of contributing to the transformation of one million public schools across India. Its model encourages teachers, school leaders, parents, government officials and communities to participate in identifying challenges and implementing practical improvements at the local level.
As part of the collaboration, Teach For India will contribute through its Fellowship and Alumni network, bringing classroom experience, leadership capabilities and education-sector expertise to the initiative.

The partnership reflects a growing focus on strengthening public education through teacher development, leadership, community participation and system-level reforms.
