Established under the aegis of Bharat Ratna Sir M. Visvesvaraya National Training Facility for Skills for All (BMVNTFSA), the Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya Center for Training Master Trainers in Skills Development (MVCTMTSD) is a pioneering institution dedicated to up-skilling, re-skilling, and capacity building in advanced technological domains. As a Centre of Excellence with national relevance, Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya Center for Training Master Trainers in Skills Development (MVCTMTSD) bridges the gap between academia, industry, and employability through industry-oriented and technology-driven training ecosystems aligned with the vision of the “Campus to Career Summit 2026.”
The institution serves as a regional hub for modernization and capacity enhancement of faculties of ITIs, Polytechnics, GTTCs, industries, and government departments through structured Master Trainer Training Programs (MTTP), Training of Trainers (ToT), Employability Enhancement Programs, Teachers Training Programs, and sector-specific refresher courses. Its performance-oriented methodology integrates classroom learning, laboratory practice, industrial exposure, demonstrations, simulations, and experiential learning to develop both technical expertise and workplace readiness.
MVCTMTSD has established collaborations and MoUs with premier institutions including IISc Bengaluru, IIT Madras, IIT Dharwad, and NITK Surathkal for curriculum development, technical mentoring, research integration, and advanced training support. The institution also collaborates with HAL Academy, Legrand, Supreme Industries, SIWIN, and reputed technical institutions including Nitte Group of Institutions, JSS Academy of Technical Education, Sri Venkateshwara College of Engineering, and KLE Institute of Technology for industry-integrated training and faculty development initiatives.
Further, MVCTMTSD is expanding collaborations with KGTTI, GTTC, the Department of Technical Education, and the Department of Industrial Training and Employment for large-scale ToT and MTTP initiatives across Karnataka. The institution is also pursuing collaboration with RMIT University, Melbourne, Australia, for “Super Trainers Training Programs” aimed at introducing global standards and advanced pedagogical practices into the skill ecosystem.
Since 2023, MVCTMTSD has trained 1,581 participants, including 934 under MTTPs, 169 under ToT initiatives, 378 under Employability Enhancement Programs, and 102 under specialized sectoral programs, with 558 women beneficiaries. Landmark initiatives such as the “Nal Jal Mitra” Advanced Plumbing Systems Program, Cyber Security, Railway Signalling, Construction Management, Waterproofing & Insulation, and Teachers Training Programs have created meaningful pathways from training to employment.

By aligning training with emerging Industry 4.0 and Construction 4.0 requirements, MVCTMTSD strongly complements the vision of Karnataka’s “Campus to Career Summit 2026” by bridging education, industry, and employability. Through industry-linked, practical, and learner-centric training ecosystems, the institution continues to nurture technically competent, industry-ready, and socially responsible professionals capable of contributing meaningfully to Karnataka’s evolving workforce and national development.
