Victoria University India has officially commenced academic operations at its Delhi NCR campus, welcoming its first undergraduate batch and marking the university’s entry into India’s higher education landscape. The postgraduate cohort is scheduled to begin classes from September 28, 2026.
The launch follows approval from the University Grants Commission (UGC), enabling Victoria University to establish its academic presence in India and introduce its VU Block Model® to Indian students.
Under the model, students focus on one subject at a time through intensive learning blocks, allowing deeper engagement with course content, closer interaction with faculty and greater emphasis on practical application. The university is offering undergraduate programmes in areas including business and data science.
As part of its commitment to accessible education, more than 30 students from the inaugural undergraduate cohort have received the VU Block Model® Scholarship. The scholarship provides a tuition fee waiver of up to ₹3 lakh per year for eligible undergraduate and postgraduate programmes at the Delhi NCR campus.
The university has completed its academic and non-academic recruitment ahead of the campus launch, with faculty and staff receiving specialised training in the Block Model and curriculum.

Students will also have opportunities to participate in clubs, societies, industry engagement and global mobility programmes. Through the university’s Global Mobility Program, students can explore semester exchanges, undergraduate transfers and postgraduate progression opportunities at Victoria University’s Melbourne campus, subject to eligibility and availability.
The Delhi NCR launch marks an important step in Victoria University’s international expansion and its efforts to create an education ecosystem combining focused learning, industry exposure and global academic opportunities.
