The Telangana government has postponed the reopening of schools for the 2026–27 academic session from June 12 to June 15, extending the summer vacation by three additional days. The decision applies to schools across the state and provides students, parents, and educational institutions extra time before the new academic year begins.
According to the revised schedule, all government, aided, and private schools in Telangana will resume classes on June 15 following the completion of the summer break that began in April. Education authorities have confirmed that schools are expected to make necessary preparations to ensure a smooth start to the academic session.

The extension comes as schools across the state finalize administrative arrangements, infrastructure readiness, and student admissions ahead of reopening. Parents have been advised to prepare students for the commencement of classes and follow any guidelines issued by their respective schools.
The reopening marks the beginning of the new academic year for lakhs of students across Telangana, with schools set to resume regular teaching and learning activities from June 15.
