India and Nepal have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly develop an AI-powered multilingual language platform aimed at strengthening digital inclusion, language preservation, and cross-border technological collaboration.
The initiative seeks to leverage artificial intelligence and language technologies to support multiple Indian and Nepali languages, enabling seamless communication, translation, and access to digital services for citizens in both countries.
The collaboration is expected to promote research and innovation in natural language processing (NLP), machine translation, speech technologies, and AI-driven linguistic tools. By developing advanced multilingual capabilities, the platform aims to bridge language barriers and improve access to education, governance, and digital public services.
