The SchoolsConnect project, a partnership between MTN Foundation and SchoolNet Nigeria, propels the ICT revolution in the nation's secondary schools with the provision of 21 units of computer and a server, VSAT and Internet connectivity as well as training for teachers and technicians who will use the equipment in beneficiary schools. The MTNF PAAC project, on the other hand, is a bold foray into the healthcare delivery sector that tackles the challenges of counselling and testing for HIV/AIDS through the provision of conducive Voluntary Counselling and Testing centres. Executive Director of the MTN Foundation, Mrs. Amina Oyagbola said the two projects were a living testimony of the good intention of the MTN Foundation to make direct positive impact on the lives of Nigerians. She explained that the SchoolsConnect programme, was designed to bridge the knowledge and digital divide by equipping selected schools across the country with computers and V-SAT technology as well as training teachers so they could teach the students.
