Vellor University student to participate in US innovation camp

Rachit Gupta, studying in B.Tech. third year Computer science and engineering at VIT University has been selected to participate in the First Annual International Innovation Camp to be held in Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, the U.S., from July 10 to August 3. Rachit Gupta is one of the 10 students from India, who has been selected for the innovation camp. The selection process is coordinated by the Department of Science and Technology, which is one of the sponsors of the programme.

'Rachit has been selected for his project 'Economic and portable water purifier,' which was developed for IIT's L-RAMP (Lemelson Recognition and Mentoring Programme) and the 'My Idea Programme' of VIT-Technology Business Incubator (TBI),' said G. Viswanathan, Chancellor of VIT University.
