Awareness campaign by TGT aspirants

With the district authorities including the local police cracking down hard on agitating aspirants of Trained Graduate Teachers (TGT) examination, the students have decided to undertake a massive awareness campaign among fellow students to garner support. Earlier, the district authorities had denied them permission to stage a dharna at the collectorate. President of Pratiyogi Chaatra Sangharsh Morcha Sharda Prasad Singh flayed the Selection Board for refusing to cancel the TGT examinations despite laregscale irregularities being reported in the conduct of examinations, Singh said that unemployment has severely gripped the entire country with educated youth facing the brunt.

Refusing to buckle under the pressure of the district administration, Singh said that students were refrained from staging a peaceful dharna outside the office of Selection Board. But the students have decided to intensify their movement and stage `nukkad sabha' at various places and distribute pamphlets along with a signature campaign among students. As a part of this, the above programmes would be organised at Allahpur, Daraganj, Salori on October 29, 30 and 31. The students have also received support from All India Students Association (AISA).
