Delhi’s Govt schools witness an increase in applicants seeking admission

The number of children seeking admission in Delhi government schools have increased recently. According to Delhi Government data, a total of 2.36 lakh applications have been received from nursery to Class 12 admission for session 2021-22.

The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) jointly with Vidya Bharati Institute of Higher Education has organised a workshop on ‘National Education Policy 2020: Implementation, Strategy and Progress recently. The two-day workshop was held between 11-12 September, 2021.

Gujarat cancels notification to make primary teachers work for 8 hours

Gujarat Government has cancelled the notification that was mandating primary teachers to work for 8 hours a day. Under the Right to Education (RTE) Act 2009, the government (Director of Primary Education) has taken the decision. The decision to cancel the notification was taken in the cabinet meeting recently.

Schools in Madhya Pradesh to reopen from September 20

Madhya Pradesh School Education Department has declared to reopen schools from September 20. The schools will reopen with 50 per cent capacity from Classes 1 to 5, whereas for classes 8 to 12 will reopen with 100 percent capacity.

Schools reopen in Karnataka for classes 8 to 10

Schools in Karnataka reopens for Classes 8 to 10 from Friday. The classes for 6th and 7th standards will begin from September 20. After the second covid 19 pandemic wave, the schools were shut down. Slowly in many states the decision to reopen schools is being taken.
