MoU signed between French Embassy, IGNOU and University

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), French Embassy and University Stendhal, Grenoble III, France have signed an Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in order to begin with Teaching of French as a Methodology Course in the B.Ed. Programme of IGNOU. An MoU was signed between U.S Tolia, Registrar (Admin), IGNOU, Daniel Rignault, Attachee for cooperation in education, French Embassy, and Mme Dumasy, Hon'ble VC, University Stendhal, Grenoble III, in New Delhi on December 6.

The main aim of this MoU is to design and develop the following academic programmes for the development of human resources: Teaching of French as a Methodology Course in the B.Ed. programme of IGNOU; Certificat d'Enseignement de Francais Langue Etrangere [CEFLE] and Diplome d'Enseignement de Francais Langue Etrangere [DEFLE]. French Embassy will fund the Orientation Programme for the course writers for developing the Self-Learning Materials. IGNOU would conduct expert committee meetings for the French methodology course in the B.Ed. Programme, CEFLE and DEFLE Programmes in collaboration with the French Embassy. The copyright of all the pedagogical study material for B.Ed programme, CEFLE and DEFLE programmes (Print, Audio, Audio Visual etc.) for use in India, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Oman and Qatar, will be retained by IGNOU.
