Maharashtra government has approved a proposal to set-up a nursing and paramedical education board. All the policy decisions regarding curriculum of courses in these streams will be taken by the board.
The board will also take decisions on textbooks and their development, guidelines and laying down conditions for admissions, among other issues and also decided to approve setting up of an agriculture university at Golewada in Hingoli district in Marathwada region.
Sixty-five posts will be created, incurring a cost of Rs 38.65 crore, at the varsity which will have an in-take capacity of 60 students. The decision will encourage youth from Hingoli district to take up agriculture-related business ventures.
