The ministry of human resource development has planned to introduce health as a subject at the school level. The introduction is planned keeping rise in health ailments in youngsters into consideration.

This initiative aims to make children aware about the non-communicable diseases which could be of a long duration, and the slow progressive diseases which could ultimately lead to a stroke. The ministry in cooperation with National Institute of Health and Family Welfare is preparing framework of the course, which would be introduced as a compulsory subject.
