Cloud Computing introduced in two TN schools

Chennai: The Directorate of School Education introduced Cloud Computing in two schools in the state recently. The initiative has been launched in the Government High School in MGR Nagar and Government Girls High School in Sriperumbudur under the Information and Communication Technology (ICT)-based education scheme.

Now the students from the two schools will be able to learn and interact with students from other schools using the internet-based learning facility.

Through a MoU signed with Learning Links Foundation, the government has provided 11 laptops, 13 tablets, an interactive board, a projector, a printer and Wi-Fi connection to the schools in collaboration with Dell.

In addition to this, a resource person has also been assigned to help the students with cloud computing technology.

According to the Directorate, the facility has been introduced in two schools is the first such initiative across India.
