Chandigarh: Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh has left behind all 15 Indian Institutes of Technology to become the nation’s only educational institution to figure in Times Higher Education World’s Top-400 University Rankings for 2013-14.
The Times Higher Education World’ Top-400 University Rankings for 2013-14 announced recently in London, put the fourth-oldest Indian University in bracket of 226-250 way ahead of IIT-Delhi, IIT-Kanpur, IIT-Kharagpur and IIT-Roorkee, all four among the country’s only five institutions to feature in top 400.
The varsities were ranked against 13 indicators including a university’s core missions like teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international outlook.
