On Wednesday, the Tunisian Ministry of Education and Training signed a Memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the ICT multinational Intel for the training over 3 years of some 135,000 ICT instructors in the field of information and communication technologies. The MOU was signed by the Minister of education and vocational training, Hatem Ben Salem and Khaled Ghamraoui, the Director of Intel for North Africa and the Middle East.
The program will consists of a system of workshops and conferences on modern teaching techniques involving the use of technology, the management of educational institutions and other educational issues. According to the MOU, 'Intel' will ensure the training of 500 core instructors who will later disseminate the training programs to other instructors in Tunisia. The multinational will also provide the educational material, as well as special internet websites adapted to the program and authorize the Ministry of education and vocational training to exploit its content, as well as to modify it according to the local demand.
