
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will be conducting class 10 English examination 2020 on February 26 from 10.30 am to 01.30 pm. Students tend to devote less time to prepare for the same subject as they believe they can cover the syllabus in less time.
However, this is the major reason for students scoring not so good in the same subject. Here are some tips to score well in your class 10 English Board examination:
Cover Reading Section
Students who read regularly either it is a newspaper or novel, he/she has more chances of scoring good marks in this section.
The exam is based on a passage and the checks students’ comprehension ability. To score well, students should make sure to practice at least 2-3 passages on a daily basis.
Focus on Writing and Grammar
Practice makes a student perfect. Make sure you practice letters, essays, notices, poster making, articles, etc to score in this section. Go through the previous years’ question papers and model test papers.
Focus on usage of tenses, active-passive, direct and indirect speech, etc. Apart from this, students should practice fill in the blanks, editing, and rearrangement of sentences from sample papers.
How to crack the literature section
Read and understand the poems. Remembering the gist of poems and stories would help you cover this part in a short period of time. Solve past year sample papers’ too.
Timing is everything
Timing is the main criteria to finish the English examination on time. Try solving sample and model test papers by setting up a timer. This will help you to invest know which section you need to focus on first to save time at the end of the examination.
