1) Online school sessions are conducted via Google Hangouts Meet for the students of Grade 10 and 12. Interactive sessionseach of 40 minsare planned. The educator explains the topic using smart class and presentations for visual learning. On completion, the students are given equal opportunity to clarify their doubts. These online sessions provide a respite and help cope up with the academic loss that would have otherwise occurred during this mandatory closure of schools declared to contain theCOVID-19 outbreak.

Different initiatives are taken for Grade 3 & 4 who will appear for an Open Book assessment. The papers will be uploaded on the school portal. Parents are required to print the papers at home, and ensure that the students attempt the paper on their own. Grade 5 to 7 will appear for online test which will have multiple choice questions.

Such kind of test not only help gauge the students’ academic preparedness but also help inculcate values like honesty and sincerity in them.

2) SGVP is well equipped with smart classes and the concept of hybrid education is being practised successfully. Teachers are given training from time to time.Almost all our teachers are tech savvy and updated with latest technology and online teaching methodologies which caters to 21st century skills. Multiple Intelligence and Project Approach are the methodologies practised at SGVP which caters to the student’s interest where even a child who is generally not very contributing in the classroom is engaged in learning through his own interest and level of understanding. They are handheld from time to time. Besides, teachers periodically connect with the parents on a one to one basis.

Students who are inactive are helped in various ways. The teachers’ vigilance and the counsellor’s intervention as and when needed also play an important role in making the child active by observing and interacting with the child. Alos, assessingsocio-emotional background and the academic factors coupled with need based intervention helps the child overcome this problem.

3) Customised or individual need based plans are an ongoing activity. After assessing the individual learning styles, individualized education plan is facilitated for each child. At time if dire need persist then a step down approach is also initiated by the School.
