With this belief in our mind and passion in our heart we took off on our journey of educating our students, by launching our new branch Gitanjali Vedika in these turbulent times. No obstacle could deter us- the management, the teachers, the students and the parents- from coming together, connecting and working towards a common goal of providing quality and wholesome education to the young minds. The hallmark of Gitanjali, backed by 35 years of experience in the field of education, Gitanjali Vedika took its first step forward commencing the session by going online.” This is what the Principal Sonia Nagpal said when asked about the new campus started in June.

Gitanjali Vedika strikes the perfect balance between modern education and traditional values, a global outlook and Indian culture. They strongly believe that every child who steps into Vedika has the right to quality education. The school understands and caters to the individual needs of the children. Children are encouraged to make learning a way of life thus paving the way for head to toe development of the students.

In today’s fast changing world Gitanjali Vedika focuses on preparing children for the future by giving them a strong ethical grounding along with the ability to analyse and implement. This is because they recognise that educating the Heart (emotional) and the Hand (practical) are just as important as developing the Head (intellectual). The ethos of the school fosters lifelong learning by engaging their students in meaningful challenges to develop all three aspects of their personality.

Emphasis is laid on developing and nourishing a strong mind, the HEAD in the students.

The Infrastructure which includes spacious, well ventilated classrooms, STEAM and Science labs, activity rooms and Library at Vedika have been created keeping in mind the cognitive development of the students. Inquiry based and experiential learning methods are employed for better understanding of the concepts. Role plays, declamation sessions, virtual tours are a regular in the classrooms. Technology is used to enhance learning and promote student engagement and interaction. Guests and experts from varied fields are invited to share their knowledge and experiences with the students.

At Vedika, they prepare their students to be compassionate individuals who are tolerant, ethical in their behaviour and respectful towards themselves and others by developing their HEART quotient.

Maintaining positive attitudes, dealing with feelings and emotions, success and failure, connecting with and respecting people are attributes taught to the students through assembly presentations, storytelling sessions, value education and buddy bench classes. Festival celebrations help the students stay connected with the roots of Indian culture and community.

To develop competencies and confidence in the students, and make them aware about the dignity of labour, the activities related to HAND (physical development)are embedded in the educational programme.

Every child is a reservoir of infinite capacity and potential. Keeping this in mind they provide their children with ample opportunities to develop their creativity and showcase their talents. The vast playground and courts for basketball and badminton,music and dance labs help students learn important skills and remain active. Yoga sessions, sports, dance and karate classes help to instil teamwork, leadership qualities, discipline in the students. These classes infuse in the students a strong sense of self-worth, and provide them opportunities to strive for achievable goals.
