Council for Indian School Certificate Examination, (CISCE) is expected to announce dates for the ICSE and ISC Board Exams 2021. While no official notice has been shared, in two separate letters sent to chief ministers for permission to reopen school and Election Commission for seeking clarity on dates for April and May, CISCE has hinted at the possibility of conducting board exams for 10th 12th in April- May 2021.

CISCE has written to the chief ministers of various states, seeking permission to reopen schools in the states from January 4, 2021. In another letter hinting at conducting ISC, ICSE Board Exams in April – May, CISCE has also written to the Election Commissions seeking clarity on dates for State elections in the months stated to avoid ‘clashes’.

CISCE has reportedly written to the Chief Election Commissioner of India seeking clarity on dates of various state elections in India that may be conducted in April and May 2021. In the letter CISCE writes, “to ensure that there are no clash of dates, interruption of the examinations or any inconvenience that may be faced by candidates taking these examinations.”

Earlier in October, CBSE and CISCE had shared that discussions were underway to determine the possible dates for board examinations for classes 10 and 12. CBSE has not yet announced any date but some information is expected by December 10, 2020 when Education Minister goes live.
