IIT Madras launches online course in Advanced Programming

Indian Institute of Technology, IIT Madras Digital Skills Academy has launched an online course in Advanced Programming for students & working professionals. The courses have been launched in collaboration with IITM-Incubated Startup GUVI.

The courses are designed to equip final year Engineering students and graduates with programming skills through industry professionals in a Hands-on way, making them ready for internships and jobs in IT.

Mangala Sunder, Founder and Coordinator, Digital Skills Academy, IIT Madras, “The objective is to provide graduating students from Indian academic institutions and employees in multiple industrial sectors the necessary skills towards employment or reskilling in relevant sectors. These courses will also make them industry- and job-ready.”

The Digital Skills Academy is a joint venture of IIT Madras with NASSCOM IT-IT Enabled Services Sector Skill Council of India. It is chaired by two eminent personalities – Shri. Lakshmi Narayanan, Founder-CEO of Cognizant Technology solutions, and Prof. M.S. Ananth, former Director of IIT Madras and one of the founders of online digital education in India. The Academy is governed by an Advisory Council with members from NASSCOM, industry and Academia. The Director of IIT Madras is the Chief Patron.
