Khan Academy gets $5 Million from Musk Foundation

Business mogul and the world’s richest person, Elon Musk, recently donated $ 5 million to the American non-profit educational organization Khan Academy through his Musk Foundation to promote online education.

Elon Musk, co-founded the private charitable foundation with his brother Kimbal in 2002, providing philanthropy in a variety of fields including education, renewable energy research, human space exploration, pediatric research and development of ‘Ensuring Artificial Intelligence for the Benefit of Humanity.

“I just want to thank Elon Musk and all the members of the Musk Foundation. They recently donated $ 5 million to Khan Academy for their credible and generous support of Khan Academy,” said the founder of the Khan Academy, Sal Khan.

He added that this donation will help Khan Academy and his team accelerate their content, software and learning for more than a million students and teachers around the world.

Founded in 2008, the Sal Khan Academy is focused on creating a variety of online tools that can be used to teach students by creating short lessons in the form of videos. The Khan Academy website also has additional practical exercises and educational materials that are available free of charge to users of the website and the application.
