The director of KIET, Dr A Garg, stated, “We truly appreciate the decision taken by our university regarding the replacement of the state-level entrance exam Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination (UPSEE) with the national level-engineering exam, Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main in order to seek admission at Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Lucknow. We believe that this modification in the admission process would certainly support the proposal of National Education Policy of introducing a single university entrance exam conducted by the National Testing Agency. This will also remove the hassle of conducting multiple exams for the recruiters thus helping in keeping the administration of test cost savvy and doing away with the burden of appearing for too many exams for the students as well. We extend our Best wishes to the future engineers for their success in the examination!”

It was also shared that the admissions for B.Tech/B.Arch/M.Tech integrated would be offered on the basis of the scorecard of JEE Main 3. For MBA, the candidate would appear for CMAT and admission in B.Pharm, B.Des, BFA, BFAD, MCA, MCA Integrated, B.Tech lateral entry, B.Pharm lateral entry, B.WAK, and MBA lntegrated would be on the basis of the exam conducted through NTA and there will be a separate examination for BHMT, named BHMCT. An App by the name the National Test Abhyas app has also been launched by the university that can be downloaded from Google Play store for free, to help students in preparing well and increasing their chance of admission.
