The new National Education Policy 2020 will be implemented in the upcoming academic session, at least among institutions funded by the central government.
“National Education Policy is on the fast track…nationwide implementation begins in June,” education minister Ramesh Pokhriyal said in a tweet. According to the minister, there are approximately 181 identified tasks that will be completed under the new educational policy.
However, not all of the identified tasks will be completed in the first year of implementation. While implementation at the state level may be delayed, central universities across the country are expected to follow the government’s lead in the first year.
