The minister has been known for being rooted yet forward-looking in the sphere of education, recognizing on various occasions the key role played by women in the segment. He has also highlighted on the WES platform the importance of digitisation in education, the need of North East States for holistic development of the nation, and important factors to impart quality higher education in the country.
With a focus on traditional ways of learning in school and higher education forming core elements of the NEP, successful implementation will allow far greater rootedness in ancient culture, traditions, and the rich knowledge system. The policy aims to put the country as the global knowledge superpower on the world map.
