The University of Doha for Science and Technology (UDST) and Edaa, Qatar’s Central Securities Depository, have entered into a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to address the gap between education and the professional world. This MoU seeks to offer unique opportunities to UDST students and simultaneously broaden Edaa’s service offerings.
“This partnership comes at an opportune moment,” remarked Dr. Al Naemi. The link between educational institutions and businesses is growing in significance as young individuals enter increasingly competitive job markets. We aim to offer our students unparalleled experiences to equip them with a competitive edge in the job market. Our MoU with Edaa signifies a significant step forward in realizing this vision.”
This collaboration serves as a cooperative framework, charting a course for mutual growth and shared learning across various domains. It includes the implementation of student internships and work placements at Edaa, allowing UDST students to gain practical experience.
Sheikh Saif, on the other hand, commented, “Our partnership with UDST reflects our dedication to nurturing local talent and infusing a fresh perspective into the financial sector. We anticipate a brighter future for Qatar’s academic and financial sectors as a result of our collaboration.”
Additional activities encompassed in the agreement encompass joint research initiatives that bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical applications, training and professional development opportunities for the wider UDST community, collaborative projects centered on innovation, and strategies for sharing data and knowledge to foster a culture of collective growth.
